28 dollar head of cabbage?!  It is now well known that food in the Arctic costs a lot, whether it is grocery store goods that have been shipped or flown long distances to end up on northern shelves, or the now high costs of getting to hunting grounds that are farther away from settlements due to melting ice and migrating animals.  But what if the north could grow its own food?

In this project I have looked at the variables of soil texture, slope, precipitation, and temperature in order to determine the future potential for agriculture in the Northwest Territories
